One of my proudest moments was mentoring a team member who was on the verge of being let go. Through consistent coaching, they not only improved but excelled—earning two promotions and eventually succeeding me in top management.

In my previous role, I turned clients who were on the verge of leaving into loyal, growing accounts. Some even referred new business to us, expanding our portfolio.
I may not be an aggressive hunter, as expected in typical sales roles, but I’m excellent at earning clients’ trust. This makes upselling and cross-selling smoother, while also reducing churn. Retaining customers and fostering long-term growth are just as important—if not more profitable—than constantly chasing new clients. That’s where I truly excel.
Hi, I’m Clarq, a starving artist — literally. When I walk into a restaurant, my friends think I’m scanning the menu, but really, I’m dissecting the branding — every logo, every flyer, even the taglines. I imagine how I’d make it better… then I remember I was there to eat.
At first, I didn’t see myself as an artist — I wanted to be a lawyer. But my teachers saw something in me and pushed me toward design. As it turns out, they were right.
My fascination with advertising began almost by accident in high school, when I was too late to sign up for an elective and ended up in an Advertising & Film class. On the first day, our teacher made us watch a film about subliminal advertising. It instantly clicked for me — I became fascinated with how advertising subtly influences decisions. That was the turning point where I began to see design not just as art, but as a powerful communication tool.
My creative process isn’t just about making things ‘pretty.’ It’s about creating visuals with purpose—designs that connect with audiences and align with business goals. My 15 years of experience as a senior brand and account manager has taught me that every visual element must serve a function, from logos to taglines.
At the core, design is more than aesthetics—it’s about solving problems and influencing decisions. Moving forward, I aim to continue leveraging creativity to build brands that resonate with their audiences and leave a lasting impact.
Unfortunately, most of my portfolio was lost due to a hard drive crash, so I don’t have much to show for. But trust me, I’ve been busy. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some of the country’s most renowned music artists —including their music videos. While I can’t display all the full inlay designs, here are a few pieces I was able to save from my work. And if you’ve ever seen a release under PolyEast Records between 2010 and 2016, that’s very likely me behind the visuals.

With new responsibilities I need to take on, I realized I won’t be able to meet them while my whole life revolves around running an agency 24/7. That’s why I’m now looking to bring my skills to a larger organization where I can still do what I love—building brands, mentoring teams, and leading creative projects—while having more room to fulfill these new priorities.
While I’ve been running my own agency and wearing multiple hats as a strategic brand builder and account manager at UpBrand, life has thrown me a curveball, shifting my priorities.
When I take on a project, I bring a founder’s mentality—approaching every brand and team as if they were my own. So while I may not officially be the owner, you can expect the same leadership, creativity, and drive that I’ve always brought to my work.
I’m not stepping away from the things I love—just approaching them from a new angle.
